How standings are decided

Teams are ranked by winning percentage, counting a tie as half a win. Only teams with identical records go through a tiebreaker. Steps are applied in order until one separates the teams; the moment a step splits a group of three or more, the procedure restarts from step 1 for each resulting subgroup.

Wild card ties — clubs from different divisions

If tied clubs are in the same division, the division procedure above runs first. Only the top remaining club from any one division competes for a wild card spot at a time; once a spot is filled, the procedure restarts for the next one.

About the points-based steps

Six of the NFL's tiebreakers compare points scored and allowed. Those need scores, and this board only records who won. When a tie survives strength of schedule, it goes to a coin toss — shown on the Standings tab with a Flip button so you can set the result yourself instead of taking the default.

Seeding and the bracket

The four division winners take seeds 1–4 by record; the next three clubs take seeds 5–7. The 1 seed has a bye. Wild Card weekend is 2v7, 3v6, 4v5. In the Divisional round the 1 seed hosts the lowest surviving seed and the other two meet. The higher seed hosts every game through the Conference Championship. Super Bowl LXI is at a neutral site — SoFi Stadium, Feb. 14, 2027.

Strength of victory and schedule

Strength of victory is the combined winning percentage of every opponent you beat, counted once per win. Strength of schedule is the combined winning percentage of every opponent you played. Both use records from your own picks, so they shift as you fill in the board.

Real results

Games that have been played are filled in automatically with the final score and locked, so the standings and seeds always start from the real season. You pick whatever's left. Results update every morning at 8 AM Eastern, so games from the day before are locked in by the time you check.

Point spreads

Upcoming games show the betting point spread and over/under (from nflverse), refreshed every morning at 8 AM Eastern — a quick read on who's favoured. Favorites picks the favoured side of every game left in the week (the home team when a line is a pick ’em). Weeks whose lines aren’t out yet show Home teams instead. Lines are for reference only.
